Timpani Mallets - Wien Style

The most modern mallets for the most present sound.

In this mallet the core covered with felt has been substituted for another that has direct contact with the patch. The result is a much fuller and direct sound.

These mallets are composed of discs of different materials and diameters overlaid on a plastic screw to hold them together. Thereby, the musician can regulate the core thickness by adding or subtracting discs depending on the musical needs.

5 basic materials of the core used are presented:

Fl = Flannel

J  = Jeans (Cotton)

Fe = Felt

L = Thin leather

LH = Thick leather

Finally, each of these materials has different diameters to choose (From 20 to 36 mm in degrees of 1 mm).
